This is our 30-square-foot, L-shaped Cubes & Coroplast cage, with a small upper level used as a
hayloft. The main area is 3x6 grids with an additional 1x2 section in the back corner. The 1x3 grid hayloft is
connected to the lower level by a ramp made of 2 cubes bent into a U-shape, connected by cable ties, and then
covered by a rug. A 1x1 second-level cube in front is used for food storage.
The bedding used to fill the cage bottom is CareFresh. Underneath is a thick layer of newspaper.
When I clean the cage, I simply roll up the newspaper with the CareFresh inside and stuff the whole thing into a
large trash bag. Because of the size of the cage and the amount of bedding used (1-2 bags), the area stays clean
and odor-free for as long as weeks.
