Cage Cleaning: How to Clean a C&C Cage

This section will explain the steps necessary to clean our Cubes & Coroplast Cage. It usually takes about an hour, depending on how distracted I am playing with the pigs. They love to satisfy their curiosity, while I clean, by running all around me and up and down the ramp about 100 times! Once the cage is clean and complete, they are EXHAUSTED and retreat into their houses or boxes for a very long nap.

Supplies needed:

1. Large garbage bag - With my 30 square foot cage, I use a Lawn & Leaf sized bag, or if I'm just doing the hayloft, I use a Tall Kitchen sized bag.
2. Broom and dust pan
3. Small container of half-vinegar and half-water
4. Sponge
5. Old newspapers
6. Wide clear tape, optional
7. New supply of CareFresh or other bedding
8. Fresh food and hay
